I walked into the store and no one was up front. I waited about 15 minutes and no one came out to greet me. I even walked in and out so that the bell would sound again because maybe they didn’t hear me come in the first time. I had been to this place twice before and bought mattresses. I heard the guy talking with some customers in the back of the store and I had been in the back of the store numerous times. (This is where he keeps all the affordable mattresses.) I figured it would be ok to go back there seeing as how this was where I had always gotten my mattresses before. He reluctantly and briefly said hello before talking with this couple for another 5 minutes. I was ready to drop $350 right then and there fore a quick sale. Finally he rudely called out to me “can I help you with something?” I was surprised by his tone and shakily answered back “yes I’ve been here a few times before and wanted to check out a queen-sized mattress.” He annoyingly pointed me to the front and said that everything that I was looking for was going to be up front. I knew this wasn’t the case. All the mattresses up front are $500-$600 and that was not at all what I was looking for. He could have easily said, “let me finish up with them and then I’ll be right with you ma’am, please wait for me up front” instead he rudely waved his hands signaling me to go up front and basically that I had no business being there. At this point I had basically been dismissed and treated like garbage, and was not going to waste any more time at a place that, especially knowing very well that I was not going to purchase an expensive mattress. I rolled my eyes and walked out, he yelled “don’t come back!” I’m really surprised, being repeat customer twice in the passed couple of years, how anyone who owns a business could treat people like that. I don’t know. The advertising on the front of the building says there are mattresses available for under $300, yet the showroom does not reflect this. Only can the used mattresses in the back be purchased at this price. It’s either a misleading sales tactic or something illegal is going on. Either way, I hope nobody has to deal with this ever again.
